It's not a pretty feeling when someone Knee On Belly's you... To say the least. It's one of the worst possible positions to end up in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and getting out of it sometimes feels even more necessary than getting out of a Mount or even a Backtake.
But escaping it isn't easy, especially if your opponent knows what they're doing. That's why you've got to go for the counter early, within the moment the opponent starts transitioning to the Knee On Belly position.
